One of the goals of this publication is to explore beyond the surface (sometimes literally) of the Sierra region and seek out the beautiful nuances and treasures that exists. There are thousands of acres of forestland, hundreds of trails, and dozens of lakes to be explored and revered. Within the 72 miles of lakeshore surrounding Lake Tahoe alone there are hundreds of views and vantage points, some accessible to the masses and some not. Even so, not too many people have the opportunity to call one of them their own, even if just for a day.
Nichole and Richard did. A private estate on the west shore of Lake Tahoe was the perfect setting and amenity to host a dream wedding with their family and closest friends. For a complete, family-oriented experience, they also carefully utilized nearby lodging options to ensure all guests would comfortably be within walking distance of the pool, the beach, and most importantly - each other.
In the write up provided by planner and designer Stephanie Martin of One Fine Day, we learned about the generous family effort that went into the wedding planning process. We strongly feel that the weddings planned from a place of encouragement and village support carry a special kind of energy and therefore resonate just a little deeper. This was certainly one of those.
The thoughtful detail was everywhere. It transcended even what the most topnotch planners routinely produce- although the high quality of One Fine Day’s work was equally evident. Personalization flourished, yet never became overwhelming. The generous, warm whites of the palette complimented the energy of the wedding guests, enlivening the space with their gentle light refraction.
The pinnacle of the event design was the large white tent utilized for guest dining. The photos featured in the magazine spread are some of our favorite tent photos to date. Seeing Nichole and Richard’s families toasting, embracing, and dancing with each other on what was most certainly a perfect day warmed our hearts and filled our cups. We hope you feel the same when you see it inside of the pages of Issue No. 2.
